The idea to make a Nintendo Direct-style presentation to present Simogo Legacy Collection (and the other 15th anniversary related projects) came as we discussed that we wanted a good way to explain the project, with all its different features and controls, and our thoughts about preservation. Emil Bengtsson, who had helped us make “Through The Laser Eyes”, came to our office on a Saturday, with all his equipment, including a teleprompter, and loads of studio lights, to film the presentation sequences, while the sequences including gameplay on devices was filmed a few weeks after.

We were determined to not turn the video into a parody, although we knew we would come off as somewhat awkward (especially as we are not speaking our native language). We wanted to make a video that felt sincere and personal, and not use humour as a shield.

It was difficult to read the script as it was not in our native language, and we made loads of mistakes, which we later compiled into a blooper reel (which was only made for ourselves, but our friends encouraged us to upload it online).
