Kosmo Spin evolved from various puzzle ideas which all based around tiles wrapping around a board. All of them involved fast swiping, and simple color matching gameplay.

These early ideas were inspired by fast-paced puzzle games games such as Meteos, Puzzloop and Chokkan Hitofude/Polarium.
