Mohammed Rafi’s Jaan Pehechaan Ho was a big inspiration for “Anna”. Traces of that song can be found in the horn sections, the guitars, and the bridge. This was the first time Daniel and I collaborated, and I got a real kick out of hearing how he arranged and produced the song based on my weird mouth-trumpet version.
